Terms of Service

Effective date: August 20, 2026  ยท  Last updated: August 20, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Month's End ("Service"), operated by Month's End ("we," "us," or "our") at monthsend.com. By connecting your QuickBooks account or using the Service in any way, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of Service

Month's End connects to your QuickBooks Online account via Intuit's authorized OAuth 2.0 API and automatically generates a Profit & Loss report each month, delivered as a PDF to your email address on the first of each month. The Service is intended for small business owners and operators who use QuickBooks Online.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have the authority to connect the QuickBooks account you use with our Service. By using Month's End, you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate.

3. QuickBooks Connection

Our Service accesses your QuickBooks Online account on a read-only basis through Intuit's official API. By authorizing the connection, you grant Month's End permission to read your Profit & Loss report data for the purpose of generating your monthly report. We do not modify, delete, or write any data to your QuickBooks account.

You may revoke this access at any time through your QuickBooks account settings. Revoking access will prevent us from generating future reports but does not automatically delete your account data.

4. Accuracy of Reports

Your monthly report is generated from data returned directly by the QuickBooks API using the accounting method (cash or accrual) you select at setup. We do not modify, adjust, or interpret the figures returned by QuickBooks.

We do not guarantee that the figures in your report will match what you see in the QuickBooks interface. Differences may result from report settings, date ranges, or accounting method selections. If you believe there is a discrepancy, the authoritative source is your QuickBooks account. Month's End is not a substitute for professional accounting, bookkeeping, or financial advice.

5. Subscription and Payment

Access to Month's End requires a paid subscription. Subscription fees are billed monthly in advance. All payments are processed by our payment provider, Paddle, and are subject to Paddle's terms and conditions.

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with 30 days' notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, and content, is owned by Month's End and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Your monthly report PDFs are yours โ€” we claim no ownership over the financial data contained in them.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that reports will be delivered on any specific schedule. We are not responsible for errors or omissions in QuickBooks data returned by Intuit's API.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Month's End shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of revenue or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the three months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Month's End from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason with reasonable notice. You may terminate your account at any time by cancelling your subscription and contacting us to request account deletion.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
